Steinfurter Acht

The "Steinfurter Acht" circular tour starts at the market square in Burgsteinfurt - just a few steps away from the impressive Steinfurt Castle. Over a distance of around 54 kilometers, the trail swings like an eight through the green heart of the Münsterland region. Initially, shady paths lead through the historic Bagno Park, past lakes and a concert gallery, later the picture widens to fields and meadows in the surroundings of Horstmar. There, the charming old town and cozy cafés invite you to take your first break.

On the second loop of the tour, pretty villages such as Wettringen with the charming Hollicher Mühle mill or the romantic Haus Welbergen near Ochtrup beckon - embedded in extensive parkland and steeped in history. The way back leads through the idyllic Kreislehrgarten Steinfurt, which surprises visitors with special horticultural features. At the end, the Steinfurt market square awaits again - the perfect place to reflect on the day with a well-earned piece of cake or a cool drink.
