It was a fascinating process in which this cultivated park was created, which was open to all citizens. Count Karl Paul Ernst zu Bentheim-Steinfurt had this exotic garden landscape built in the 18th century as a "pleasure garden" and fulfilled his dream of the gardens of this world!

Hardly known, but very interesting: In Burgsteinfurt, a unique monastery complex has been preserved over the centuries : the Kommende der Johanniter .
