🌷 Borghorst Fountain Festival 2026 - Experience spring in the city centre! 🌷

When spring makes Borghorst shine in fresh colours, it's time again for one of the most beautiful city festivals of the year: the Borghorst Fountain Festival!

On Sunday, 19 April 2026, Borghorst town centre will be transformed into a lively festival mile full of life, encounters and spring fever from 11 am to 6 pm. Look forward to over 40 lovingly designed market stalls, more than 70 flea market stalls for browsing, discovering and bargain hunting as well as a large bouncy castle park that will make children's eyes light up.

Spring is also celebrated with culinary delights: A variety of gastronomic offerings invite you to savour, linger and sit together. The GoodVibes choir will be performing to create a real feel-good atmosphere and a great atmosphere.

From 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., the retail trade will also be open and invites you to take a relaxed spring stroll through the shops in Borghorst.

The former market place was located at the entrance to the moated castle (1129), today still the residence of the princely family of Bentheim and Steinfurt. Today's old town of Burgsteinfurt developed from this core. The simpler half-timbered houses of the peasants, the larger ones of the merchants, but above all the splendid stone houses of the count's officials are examples of medieval architecture worth seeing. The centre of the historic town centre is the town hall (1561), with its finely designed gable. Burgsteinfurt's market square reflects two epochs in the town's history, as probably nowhere else in the Münsterland. The time of urban unfreedom under the count of Burgsteinfurt, who manifested his power in the construction of the wine house at Markt 19; on the other hand, the self-confidence of the aspiring bourgeoisie, which manifests itself in the show gable of the old town hall.

kunSTvoll invites you to experience art, crafts and culture in a very special atmosphere from 11 am to 6 pm.

Artists, craftspeople and cultural practitioners will present their works, ideas and techniques between historic façades, small alleyways and charming squares. Painting, design, sculptures, crafts, music and creative activities combine to create a colourful, inspiring cityscape that invites you to stroll, discover and be amazed.

kunSTvoll is more than just a market - it is a meeting place for creative people and art lovers, for families, connoisseurs and anyone who is in the mood for new impressions. Live art, personal discussions with the exhibitors and the special atmosphere of the historic city centre make this day a real experience.
