"Our home - our beer" - the Rolinck brewery still embodies this motto today, more than 200 years after it was founded. The flavoursome, fresh, off-dry beer stands for high and unmistakable quality as well as for Westphalian solidarity with the land and its people. To our beautiful Münsterland!

Rolinck has been part of the Krombacher family since 2007. Since then, further tasks such as speciality bottling have been taken over at the Steinfurt site. Find out more about our traditional brewery and taste a wide variety of drinks and beer specialities. Small snacks will be served.

The year is 1801 and Petronalla Gempt, née Prümers, is the widow of the well-respected and highly esteemed court apothecary Conrad Gempt. Every day she goes on her errand through her home town of Burgsteinfurt. Today you accompany her and learn a lot about the diseases and remedies of her time. She also tells you about her home, the "Apotheke zum Elephanten", and how it got its name. Of course, she won't let you go without the special apothecary potion against all kinds of infectious diseases, malicious people and nosy neighbours!

Accompany Burgunda, wife of Fredericus, on an entertaining and lively tour of Burgsteinfurt! She tells stories and anecdotes from times long past - about everyday life, special events and, of course, the craft of her husband, the clog maker. Find out why the practical wooden shoes were more than just footwear - and listen to exciting stories about old Burgsteinfurt, its people and its secrets. An experience full of charm, humour and history!

Around 30 different tomato varieties are grown in the district educational garden every year. A presentation will reveal the best way to do this in the home garden. The most important care measures for the plants will then be demonstrated. At the subsequent variety tasting, everyone can get their own impression of the variety of tomatoes.

"Where have all the rascals gone?" This is the question Klaverjahn asks himself as he searches for the rascals of the Hohe Schule - one of the first reformed universities in Westphalia. And it is here at the Hohe Schule that he meets you and takes you on a search.... On this journey through the 17th century, Klaverjahn passes buildings from days long gone and has exciting and entertaining anecdotes to tell. The "Bengel" have to be found by closing time, but caution is advised, because these are troubled times and pauper hunters, bagmen and the sick make the search in Stemmert more difficult.

Three members of the Kunstverein Steinfurt are exhibiting together. Their paintings harmonise well together, but each of the three artists has her own form of expression, technique and attitude to art. While Erika Leusbrock brings many inspirations from her travels and translates them imaginatively into acrylic or watercolour, Annemarie Deiters often devotes herself to figurative motifs and colourfully stages female silhouettes. Both artists run the "Zwischengalerie" in Steinfurt Borghorst.

Angelika Schmidt has been running a gallery in Wettringen since 2024, where she also gives workshops and courses in various techniques, using spray paints, stencils, hammered metal, oil sticks, pastel chalks and much more.

Around 400 years ago she went from house to house, the midwife, and knew the people of her town, their worries and hardships like no other. Today, Vera Menzel, dressed in historical costume, tells you about the life of a midwife in Steinfurt around 1600. Anna Krechting takes you on a journey through time with true stories and anecdotes, with tales of witch hunts and beating students, giving you a vivid picture of her time. On your way from the castle through the town to the Ackerbürgerhaus, you can also taste from Anna Krechting's basket!

Experience a captivating city tour with Ullerike, where you will not only get to know historic buildings and idyllic places, but also hear interesting anecdotes and stories. Ideal for young and old, we offer a varied tour that combines knowledge with fun. Why do fish have to climb stairs? Where do we find the 5 lions and why is there a big tree in the town hall? Look forward to many interesting and amusing stories for all age groups.

The walk is suitable for both pushchairs and walking frames.

Erich Kästner not only wrote children's books, but was also a critical observer in difficult times. This thoughtful, sarcastic and humorous poet will be the focus of the evening. His texts leave us smiling, sometimes amused, sometimes astonished, sometimes shocked. The texts are topical, even half a century after Kästner's death. He was one of the first authors whose books were burnt by the National Socialists.
